BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby closed and abandoned Stanley Street and alleys located northeast from East Third Street, northwest of Orchard Knob Avenue, more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: 1. Stanley Street, a 35 foot wide right-of-way beginning on the northeast line of East 3rd Street (as now widened) 196.75 feet southeast of the intersection of the northeast line of East 3rd Street with the southeast line of Hawthorne Street, and extends northeast 295.04 feet between parallel lines to the southwest line of Garfield Avenue. Said street separates lots 7-12, and part of lot 6, block 1, from lots 13-18, and part of lot 1, block 2, Olson's Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat book 5, page 45, ROHC. 2. An 8 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northwest line of Stanley Street 90 feet northeast of the intersection of the northwest line of Stanley Street with the northeast line of East 3rd Street (as now widened), and extending northwest 88.75 feet between parallel lines to the southeast line of another alleyway. Said alleyway separates lots 1 and 2, and part of lot 3, block 2, from lot 18, block 2, Olson's Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat book 5, page 45, ROHC. 3. An 8 foot wide alleyway beginning on the southeast line of Stanley Street 90 feet northeast of the intersection of the southeast line of Stanley Street with the northeast line of East 3rd Street (as now widened), and extending southeast 179.75 feet between parallel lines to the northwest line of North Orchard Knob Avenue (as now widened). Said alleyway separates lots 2-6, and part of lot 1, block 1, from lot 7, and part of lot 18, block 1, Olson's Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat book 5, page 45, ROHC. 4. An 8 foot wide alleyway beginning on the southwest line of Garfield Avenue 84 feet northwest of the intersection of the southwest line of Garfield Avenue with the northwest line of North Orchard Knob Avenue (as now widened), and extending southwest 197.04 feet between parallel lines to the northeast line of another alleyway. Said alleyway separates lots 7-12, block 1, from lots 13-18, block 1, Olson's Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat book 5, page 45, ROHC. Tax Map No. 146F-D-2, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this closure and abandonment is made subject to the following conditions: 1. Resubdivision of properties. 2. The areas reserved for utility easements must be kept free and clear of all structures. 3. All existing easements are retained. 0C SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
